Franchise Opportunities
| This exciting franchise opportunity is quite unique as it enjoys all the benefits of a typical retail operation; however, the initial investment is considerably lower than a typical retail business as there is little or no cost for the opening inventory. This is the perfect business for someone with a passion for buying and selling furniture, antiques, collectibles, art, and a desire to operate their own successful business. We are adopting a rapid but controlled growth strategy to ensure the quality and consistency of our program and provide a strong support base for our franchisees. Our initial expansion will take place in the province of British Columbia. The cornerstones of the Consignment Canada™ franchise are:
What you can expect as a franchiseeWe are committed to making your business both personally and financially successful. As a franchisee, you will receive:
What we look for in a franchiseeWe strongly believe that the success of our franchisees is based on our franchisee-selection process and your desire to succeed. We consider that one of the most important attributes requires your commitment to listen and learn and make constant improvements in the way you operate your franchised business. In choosing franchisees, preference will be given to applicants who:
Consignment Canada™ is a franchised operation. The initial franchise fee, in most cases, is $25,000. A typical store requires a total investment (including the initial franchise fee and working capital) of approximately $100,000 - $175,000. This amount excludes the cost of GST, which is 100% refundable. Consignment Canada™ financially pre-qualifies candidates who can confirm that they have approximately 50% of the total investment price available in unencumbered (free and clear) cash. Although the total cost of the store may be available to an applicant by way of a bank loan, our philosophy is that only 50% of the cost of the store is financed to avoid burdening the candidate with an unreasonable debt load. Unreasonable debt loads are often detrimental to the success of the franchised business. If the unencumbered funds are to be borrowed against the applicants' equity in their home, the repayment of this mortgage must be supported by a sufficient outside source of income (i.e. one spouse/partner who is otherwise employed). Royalties In return for our ongoing support and services, you pay us a monthly royalty based on 5% of your gross revenue and a contribution to our Advertising and Promotion Fund, which will not exceed 3% of your gross revenue. The Mutual Investigation ProcessWe have developed a “Mutual Investigation Process” which allows both parties to exchange information in a sequential manner and proceed at their own pace. During this process you will be required to provide adequate information for us to evaluate your potential as a Consignment Canada™ franchisee. At the same time, you will be receiving sufficient information from us about the franchise opportunity that will allow you to decide if you wish to move forward at each stage of the application process. To request additional information on this opportunity, please fill out our Initial On-line Inquiry Form. |
